In 2018 Thales LAS France deployed Nexpublica Chronotime Workplace as a centralized Time and Attendance platform to consolidate time and attendance across dozens of GTA tools and harmonise HR time rules for its French sites. Nexpublica Chronotime Workplace was provisioned to provide a single interface for badge capture, employee self-declaration and payroll feeds, positioning the application as the authoritative time repository for HR and Payroll in France.
The implementation delivered core Time and Attendance capabilities including time capture via badge integration, self-declared time entry workflows, and a rules engine to enforce harmonised French labour and HR time rules. Configuration focused on standardising eligibility, break and overtime rules, and automated payroll export formats, while retaining localized rule variation where required by French establishments.
Deployment followed a multi-wave architecture that began at the end of 2018 and scaled to full coverage across French establishments by 2021, using a phased rollout to onboard site-level time capture and feed integration. Integrations explicitly included badge systems, employee self-declaration interfaces and payroll feed connections to downstream HR/Payroll systems, consolidating previously distributed time data into Nexpublica Chronotime Workplace for France.
Governance centered on harmonising time policy, central configuration of HR time rules, and staged operational handover to HR and Payroll teams in France, with wave-based cutovers per establishment.
