In 2018, The Crane implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial solution for the leisure and hospitality group headquartered in Barbados. The implementation established Infor SunSystems as the primary financial application supporting corporate accounting and treasury functions across the organization, aligning the 350 employee operation under a single ERP Financial platform.
The Infor SunSystems deployment focused on core financial modules typical for ERP Financial use cases, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial reporting and consolidation capabilities. Configuration emphasized chart of accounts standardization, automated journal processing and bank reconciliation workflows to support month-end close and statutory reporting requirements.
Prior to upgrading SunSystems in 2019, The Crane had become increasingly reliant on Excel, which drove the implementation and subsequent governance changes. The project included rollout and process standardization across finance and accounting teams, instituting formal close procedures, role-based access controls and data governance to reduce spreadsheet-driven reconciliations and centralize transactional finance operations.
