In 2017, The Neumann Kaffee Gruppe implemented Cority WeSustain. Cority WeSustain was deployed as the Group's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) application to centralize corporate responsibility data across the holding company and its decentralized subsidiaries.
The implementation focused on impact management capabilities typical of ESG platforms, including structured data acquisition, validation, consolidation, and report generation. The Neumann Kaffee Gruppe used the application to capture output and outcome level indicators, to map activity to selected UN Sustainable Development Goals, and to define measurable country level targets starting in 2017, with retrospective calculations back to 2011 to establish a baseline.
Architecturally the rollout established a single shared database at Group level with localized data entry and country specific configuration at subsidiary sites, enabling consistent data models and consolidated group reporting. The solution replaced spreadsheet based processes by providing a common repository so that holding level analysis and local sustainability initiatives could be reconciled against the same dataset.
Governance was aligned to the company principle of as centrally as necessary and as decentrally as possible, with the holding acting as a strategic owner and subsidiaries deriving country objectives from the Group strategy.
