In 2014, The Peninsula Paris implemented Infor SunSystems as its core ERP Financial application to centralize revenue accounting and reporting across the hotel. The Infor SunSystems deployment was positioned to manage revenue reconciliation workflows, financial controls, and formalized accounting procedures for the property.
The implementation included configuration of income audit processes and core accounting capabilities within Infor SunSystems, with accounts payable and accounts receivable handled as interim modules covering invoice processing, month end accruals, payments, and commission processing. Infor SunSystems was used to support budget and forecast preparations and to produce daily and monthly financial reporting to owners, reflecting the application s role in operational financial planning and stewardship.
Operational integration focused on point of sale and property management interfaces, with Opera, Micros and Concept configuration feeding transactional data into Infor SunSystems. The project reconciled all hotel revenues from the POS systems to the PMS and into Infor SunSystems, establishing a single ledger for revenue recognition and audit trails across F&B, rooms and other revenue centers.
Governance and process changes included implementation of financial procedures and policies, standardization of income audit workflows, and establishment of month end close activities and reporting cadence for ownership.
