In 2022 Pure Source implemented ECI Deacom Warehouse Management. The deployment targeted core procurement and warehouse operations at the company headquarters in Doral, Florida, and was sized for a 50 person oil, gas and chemicals distributor. Pure Source uses ECI Deacom Warehouse Management, a Warehouse Management application, to support procurement, inventory control, and incoming quality workflows.
Implementation work centered on configuring procurement and inventory modules, including MRP output review workflows, automated purchase order generation, and supplier and item purchasing parameter setup within the ECI Deacom Warehouse Management environment. The system was configured to manage open order tracking, follow up processes for overdue items, and the release of received materials from incoming quality control to available inventory.
Operational integrations tied ECI Deacom Warehouse Management to the company ERP footprint through DEACOM ERP transactional exchange for purchasing and MRP signals, enabling synchronized supplier master data and purchase order status. The rollout expanded operational coverage across procurement, planning, warehouse operations, quality control, and accounts payable, and preserved existing communication workflows for notifying suppliers by phone, fax, or email.
Governance and process changes focused on supplier management and supplier quality assessment, with formalized procedures and work instructions implemented to support supplier setup, confidentiality and contract handling, supplier evaluations, early supplier involvement for new formulations, and reconciliation of supplier payment issues with accounts payable. Operational ownership consolidated procurement accountability for PO follow up and supplier relationship management while warehouse and QC teams adopted standardized receiving and release procedures under the new Warehouse Management system.
