In 2014, The Sportscene Group implemented CHSPOS MaitreD as its Point Of Sale platform across La Cage aux Sports venues. The rollout was staged from the company head office in Boucherville with IT technicians providing installations and on-site support within a 250 km radius, covering hardware staging, site server provisioning and coordination with local installers.
CHSPOS MaitreD was deployed as a full POS stack including client workstations, touch screens, receipt and kitchen printers, and a site server running MaitreD V.7 and V.8 from Posera together with Office suite components for back office operations. Configuration work included programming of items, suppliers, stock management, menu and screen layouts, employee profiles and permissions, and report configuration to support restaurant operations.
The technical architecture integrated network and payment components, using HP 1810 switches, a Cisco NG Firewall and routers provisioned for fixed IP addressing, with Cisco Meraki MR34 WiFi hotspots managed in the cloud. Electronic payment integrations were implemented for Monetico Desjardins and Moneris BMO, mail and collaboration were managed through Office 365 and IceWarp mailboxes, and authentication and device management relied on Active Directory on Microsoft Server 2008R2, with file management for on-site, mobile and audio / video equipment coordinated with vendors such as Videotron and Bell.
Operational governance established tiered N1, N2 and N3 technical support and centralized administrative processes for account creation, mailbox and distribution list management, and corporate security groups in Active Directory. The Sportscene Group CHSPOS MaitreD Point Of Sale deployment emphasized centralized configuration with localized on-site support and vendor coordination to sustain POS operations and payment processing.
