Constellation Software Inc. Legacy Mortgage Builder LOS Loan Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2007 2007
In 2007, The Texas General Land Office implemented Mortgage Builder LOS to support the Texas Veterans Land Board's veterans-focused land, home and home-improvement lending programs. Mortgage Builder LOS was deployed as a Loan Management solution to standardize loan origination and intake processes for finance and loan origination workflows across VLB programs statewide. The implementation emphasized functional capabilities for loan origination, standardized origination workflows, and embedded origination controls to bring policy enforcement into day-to-day lending operations. Configuration work targeted program-specific requirements for veterans lending, aligning intake, documentation, and approval routing with the Texas Veterans Land Board operational model. Governance and process changes centered on integrating origination controls into lending operations, centralizing policy controls and workflow orchestration to ensure consistent origination intake and document management across sites. The deployment positioned Mortgage Builder LOS to serve as the operational backbone for VLB loan origination activities within the broader Texas General Land Office lending portfolio.

Nuix Legacy Nuix Discover Natural Language Processing AI-Powered Application n/a 2014 2015
In 2014 The Texas General Land Office deployed Nuix Discover to support document review and production as part of its Natural Language Processing capabilities for litigation and records review. The implementation operated within the agency electronic discovery life cycle and was managed alongside Nuix Workstation for data collection and processing to centralize intake, processing and review workflows for litigation projects. Nuix Discover was used for document review and production workflows while Nuix Workstation handled data collection and processing, creating a two tier operational architecture for eDiscovery processing and review. The implementation encompassed functional capabilities including data ingestion, forensic and custodial collection support, processing and indexing, and review set management for production, with Nuix Discover serving as the review and production engine across those stages. Parallel to eDiscovery system support, the agency built end to end business intelligence solutions using R, Shiny, SQL and Power BI to serve stakeholders across various data domains, integrating review outputs into analytical pipelines where analysts wrote and executed ad hoc SQL queries and automated repetitive tasks in python. BI duties explicitly included evaluation of new technologies, and the BI and discovery toolchains were operated together to provide analytics, reporting and review visibility for legal and records management functions. Governance and operationalization included documenting processes, mentoring and training other analysts, and ongoing system administration and support for the Nuix Workstation and Nuix Discover environments. Process documentation and analyst training were used to institutionalize review workflows and sustain operations across the agency for litigation and records review activities.
