In 2019, The Union League of Philadelphia deployed BirchStreet AccuBar as its Inventory Management solution to centralize inventory control across the club. The deployment focused on operational inventory workflows to support receiving, monthly inventories, transfers, and recipe-level inventory management using the BirchStreet AccuBar Recipe Module.
The implementation configured core functional modules for receiving, physical and monthly cycle counts, internal transfers, and recipe costing to enable a move toward perpetual inventory. The team is using the Recipe Module to build standardized ingredient-level records, and the BirchStreet AccuBar suite of reports is used to surface problem areas and perform price analysis to inform pricing decisions.
BirchStreet AccuBar was integrated with the club point of sale system to enable transaction-level cost and revenue reconciliation, a connection that has allowed staff to better analyze cost and profit margins and to support creation of a perpetual inventory. The POS interface also enables comparison of standard cost to selling price and contributes data for automated supplier order suggestions and par level spot checks across different areas of the League.
Operational governance shifted toward inventory-driven procurement and periodic spot-checks, with business functions impacted including inventory control, procurement, and pricing strategy. Users leverage AccuBar reports and price analysis to detect price increases and adjust selling prices, and the system is being used to generate supplier orders and to institutionalize periodic par level reviews.
