| AccountsIQ | Legacy | AccountsIQ Financial Consolidation | Financial Consolidation and Close | EPM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Thermatic Technical implemented AccountsIQ Financial Consolidation in the Financial Consolidation and Close category. Thermatic Technical is a fast growing engineering group providing mechanical, electrical, heating, drainage, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration services to multi site commercial customers across the UK, and it had been using Sage 50 which could not cope with the increased transaction volumes and reporting demands. The project required a cloud based finance platform with an open API and a compressed two month window to go live to align with their Joblogic rollout, and the AccountsIQ implementation consultant delivered the configuration within that timeframe.
The AccountsIQ Financial Consolidation deployment was configured to support consolidated group reporting across the Thermatic Group and to enable multi dimensional management reporting and one click consolidation up to the parent company. Implemented functional capabilities include consolidated reporting, bank reconciliations and advanced search to streamline month end close and management information, with multi currency functionality provisioned but not yet active. Thermatic currently uses AutoEntry for overheads, expenses and credit card transactions and is evaluating AccountsIQ AP Invoice Automation as a future accounts payable capture option.
Integrations focused on AccountsIQs open API to connect finance with the operational Joblogic system, enabling transactional flows from job management into the financial ledger and reducing manual rekeying. The cloud based architecture supported Thermatics hybrid working model and improved remote access performance compared with their previous desktop remote access approach. Operational coverage spans multiple group entities including Thermatic Technical, Thermatic Homes and the new Thermatic Energy business launched in 2021, multiple account managers and sector lines such as retail, healthcare and education across the UK.
Governance and rollout followed a coordinated schedule tying finance process changes to the Joblogic go live, with direct collaboration between Thermatic finance staff and AccountsIQ that included customer driven beta testing and ongoing product feedback. Reported outcomes explicitly include much faster report runs versus Sage 50, rapid user adoption, simpler addition of new entities and confidence in processing time savings, alongside continued engagement with AccountsIQ on feature development.
