In 2012, Thredbo Resort implemented Infor SunSystems as the core ERP Financial application to centralize accounting and group finance processes across the resort and its amalgamated companies. The deployment established Infor SunSystems as the primary accounting engine supporting daily finance operations for the organization.
Configuration and functional modules implemented included daily revenue reporting and daily cash flow statements, comprehensive general journals with explicit handling of inter entity transactions and reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations and integrity checking, plus bank account and credit card reconciliations. Accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows were managed within Infor SunSystems and fed management reporting and consolidated financial views.
Operationally the Infor SunSystems environment interfaced with secondary systems used regularly, notably Guest Centrix for hotel property management and Inntopia for reservations and commerce, while Microsoft Office was used for intermediate reporting and analysis. The application supported the Financial Controller on daily tasks and enabled the finance team to liaise with multiple departments and the broader group of amalgamated companies to interpret and communicate financial results.
Governance centered on daily reconciliation cycles, integrity checking routines and journal controls to ensure inter entity accuracy, with structured reporting streams to the Financial Controller and department managers to drive routine financial oversight and cross departmental communication.
