In 2015, ThredUp implemented Lever by Employ as its Applicant Tracking System and embedded the application into its public careers site to manage candidate apply flows. The deployment positioned Lever by Employ as the central talent acquisition system for posting roles, capturing candidate profiles, and routing applications through configurable hiring pipelines.
Lever by Employ was configured to support standard ATS functionality including job posting management, candidate tracking across stages, interview scheduling orchestration, and offer workflow coordination. Configuration emphasized pipeline visibility and candidate data hygiene consistent with Applicant Tracking System capabilities, with reusable interview templates and structured candidate records to standardize hiring workflows.
The implementation integrated the Lever careers endpoint directly with ThredUp’s website so external applicants enter Lever-managed workflows from the company job listings. Operational coverage focused on talent acquisition and hiring managers across the organization, using Lever by Employ to centralize requisition intake, candidate ownership, and recruiting communications.
Governance for the deployment introduced role based access and defined pipeline ownership to align recruiting processes, with formalized requisition approvals and hiring stage definitions to reduce process variation. Lever by Employ served as the authoritative source for candidate lifecycle data and hiring event tracking within ThredUp’s recruiting function.
