| Workday | Oracle PeopleSoft ERP | Workday Financial Management | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019 Thryv implemented Workday Financial Management. Thryv implemented Workday Financial Management as its ERP Financial solution to centralize core accounting and financial reporting capabilities across the organization, consolidating general ledger processes and fixed-asset accounting into a single cloud-finance platform.
The deployment focused on core financial modules typical of ERP Financial implementations, including general ledger configuration, fixed-asset management with capitalization and depreciation schedules, consolidation and close procedures, journal entry orchestration, and automated account reconciliation workflows. Configuration work emphasized a standardized chart of accounts, period close sequencing, accrual and prepaid processing, and audit-ready reconciliation schedules aligned with GAAP and SOX control requirements.
Operational ownership rested with GL Accounting and financial reporting teams, and the system was positioned as a primary tool used by in-house and remote accounting staff, including bilingual accounting consultants supporting reporting and audit activities. Workday Financial Management also served as the platform for preparing and collecting data for external audits and for supporting fixed-asset reporting and reconciliation duties performed by accounting consultants.
Governance changes accompanying the implementation included tightened role-based access and approval workflows, standardized reconciliation and journal review procedures, and process changes to support external audit preparation and SOX compliance. The rollout emphasized embedding control points into financial processes and consolidating disparate accounting activities into the Workday Financial Management ledger and reporting model.
