In 2022 TMF Australia deployed Xero under the ERP Financial category to consolidate trust accounting and bookkeeping workflows. Implementation targeted trust accounting operations supporting TMF Group NSW and was operationally validated through a Trust Accountant who used Xero from May 2023 to February 2024.
Xero was configured to manage general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, trust account bookkeeping, and end of month financial reporting, aligning with standard ERP Financial capabilities. Functional workflows implemented included reconciliations, preparation of end-of-month financial reports, compilation of annual client reporting packs, and support for Special Purpose Financial Statements and tax return documentation. The application was also used to set up new client trust files and track compliance milestones during onboarding.
Operational integration included coordination of trust payments via a Bank Bureau Entry Facility and active monitoring of transaction limits within Xero payment and reconciliation workflows. The Trust Accountant liaised with internal teams to ensure timely Australian Taxation Office and Australian Business Register registrations for new trust clients, and Xero-maintained records were prepared to support external audits. Day to day usage spanned trust accounting teams in NSW, with bookkeeping and reconciliations feeding into monthly reporting cycles.
Governance centered on audit readiness and compliance controls, with maintained audit documentation and client file checklists to meet trust-related regulatory requirements. The implementation emphasized trust-level controls and process discipline consistent with ERP Financial control frameworks for professional services trust accounting.

In 2017, TMF Australia deployed Finastra Misys FusionBanking Loan IQ to centralize its capital markets loan operations. The deployment targeted Loan Management functions and established a central hub to manage sophisticated loan portfolios for larger clients, with a modular rollout planned to extend coverage to the entire loan book.
The implementation configured core loan servicing and portfolio management workflows, account reporting, and an intuitive user interface to replace manual, spreadsheet and paper-based processes. Finastra Misys FusionBanking Loan IQ was delivered using Finastra Global Services and the Fusion Adopt Fusion Blueprints methodology, with pre-configuration to accelerate training and time-to-value during the phased rollout.
TMF Australia integrated its in-house Know Your Customer screening solution with Fusion Loan IQ to create an end-to-end onboarding workflow, the KYC solution employs double encryption and is fed by updated intelligence from sanctions lists, regulatory notices and law enforcement alerts. The integration unified onboarding, KYC screening and loan servicing workflows, enabling faster client onboarding and more consistent account reporting across mission-critical systems.
