In 2019, TOGA deployed Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll to centralize weekly payroll processing for its Australian operations, running payroll for more than 1,700 employees. Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll served as the core Payroll application for the Toga Group Pty Ltd payroll team based in Sydney, supporting high-frequency payroll cadence.
Configuration concentrated on end to end payroll workflows, including new employee registration, time sheet ingestion, payroll calculation, payslip generation, termination payment calculation, salary adjustments, deductions and reimbursements. Payroll officers operated Chris21 and E-tivity to execute weekly runs and manage employee records, reflecting standard payroll automation and schedule-driven batch processing.
Integrations explicitly included E-tivity for timesheet capture and submission, feeding the Chris21 payroll engine for calculation and payslip issuance. Operational coverage spanned the Toga Group in Australia, with payroll transactional processing and HR payroll transactions consolidated under the Sydney payroll office.
Governance and process controls centered on payroll officers responsible for end to end processing, timely onboarding of new hires into the payroll system, responding to employee enquiries about time sheets and payslips, and administering terminations. The implementation emphasized procedural controls around weekly runs and employee data maintenance to sustain consistent payroll operations.
