In 2024 Tokai Rika implemented WAP HUE Expense as part of a migration from HUE Classic to HUE AC. The deployment centralized Expense Management for purchasing, payment requests, and employee expense reimbursement across finance and procurement functions in Japan. The initiative replaced existing front-end systems and consolidated request intake and approval flows onto the HUE AC platform.
WAP HUE Expense was configured to unify purchasing approvals, payment request routing, and employee reimbursement workflows, leveraging standard expense reporting, configurable approval chains, and automated request status tracking common to Expense Management solutions. Configuration work focused on workflow templates for procurement and reimbursement use cases and consolidating form-based requests into a single expense and payment request intake. The full application name WAP HUE Expense is used as the central processing layer for those workflows.
The rollout impacted finance and procurement departments and established centralized process ownership and governance within the HUE AC environment, standardizing approval policies and operational procedures. Objectives stated by the company include reducing operational and maintenance costs and streamlining finance and procurement workflows by replacing multiple front-end systems. The deployment positions WAP HUE Expense as the primary Expense Management platform for Tokai Rika's corporate spend controls.
