In 2021, Total Terminals International engaged Jade Global to implement Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for Analytics and BI to centralize finance reporting across its US terminal operations, targeting AR, AP and account analysis. The engagement positioned Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) as the core ETL engine to populate a Power BI data warehouse supporting finance reporting workflows.
The implementation delivered a Microsoft-based data integration and warehousing architecture using SSIS maps to load financial extracts and ERP extracts into staging and analytical layers. SSIS packages were configured for scheduled, automated ETL processing, canonical finance schemas were modeled to support account-level analysis, and data preparation logic was embedded in the SSIS workflows to produce Power BI-ready datasets.
Integrations focused on extracting source ledgers and operational ERP extracts and feeding those feeds into the Power BI data warehouse, enabling Power BI dashboards to surface consolidated AR/AP and account analysis. Operational coverage was concentrated on the finance function for the US terminal operator, with data flows designed to support routine financial reporting and ad hoc account investigations.
Jade Global led rollout and operationalization, instituting scheduled ETL jobs and Power BI refresh patterns and establishing finance reporting handoffs between IT and finance. The project delivered automated ETL and Power BI dashboards to improve financial visibility and decision-making for Total Terminals International, with governance centered on scheduled data refresh and dataset lineage to support ongoing finance reporting.
