In 2023, Tous Mexico implemented HIOPOS across its retail stores to modernize point-of-sale operations and to unify customer service and promotions across countries, with rollout examples including the Reforma 222 store in Mexico City. The deployment focused on retail transactional execution and in-store promotion handling, positioning HIOPOS as the primary Point Of Sale application for checkout, customer interaction, and promotion redemption.
HIOPOS was configured to centralize store level data through Hioffice, consolidating sales, inventory snapshots, and transaction logs for corporate visibility. Configuration work emphasized article synchronization, promotion parameterization, and standardized receipt and transaction flows to align store behavior with corporate merchandising rules.
Integrations were implemented between HIOPOS and TOUS corporate SAP to synchronize articles, promotions and reports, enabling a push and pull of master article data and promotional schedules. Operational coverage included frontline retail staff and store management across Mexico and other country operations cited in the rollout, with Reforma 222 documented as an example site executing the integrated configuration.
Governance was organized around centralized data synchronization processes, requiring coordinated workflows between store operations, merchandising and the corporate SAP team to manage articles and promotions. The implementation established a unified point-of-sale backbone using HIOPOS and Hioffice for centralized reporting and promotion control, supporting consistent customer service and promotion execution across stores and countries.
