In 2012, Travelex implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform. The implementation targeted core financial operations across its retail banking activities including foreign exchange, cash and global payments, prepaid cards, store operations and ATM networks in the United Kingdom.
The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment centered on financial management functions, configured to support general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and treasury workflows, and integrated financial reporting and period close processes consistent with ERP Financial best practices. The program included an Oracle R12 upgrade and was built on an Oracle 11g database foundation to align application capabilities with financial control and settlement requirements.
Infrastructure and system migration work included building and testing a shared network and infrastructure platform on Sun Solaris servers with SAN DMC storage, plus migrations of databases and applications into the new environment. The implementation incorporated regulatory greenfield projects, integrating AML capabilities and Detica NetReveal Norkom 6 for compliance monitoring, and interfaced with payment processing flows for cash operations, prepaid card settlement and ATM reconciliation.
Governance for rollout emphasized a centralized platform approach with tested network and storage architectures to support ongoing migrations and regulatory projects, and operational scope covered retail business units, stores and ATM operations plus central finance and compliance functions. The programme preserved transactional continuity while establishing Oracle E-Business Suite as the enterprise ERP Financial backbone for Travelex.

In 2012 Travelex implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR system, selecting the application in large part for Workday HCM native analytics and reporting capabilities. The deployment established Workday HCM as the authoritative personnel data model to support HR reporting and workforce analytics for Travelex’s roughly 6,000 employees.
Workday HCM was configured to centralize core HR records, position and job data, and role based access for HR and people managers, while enabling operational reporting and analytics across standard human capital domains. The implementation emphasized configuration of security, business process workflows, and embedded reporting rather than bespoke extensions, aligning with typical Core HR functional patterns for recordkeeping and workforce insight.
Travelex integrated Workday HCM with Cornerstone to deliver online learning and training services, and with PeopleFluent to manage recruitment workflows. Integrations were scoped to synchronize employee and candidate profiles, learning enrollment and completion status, and to provide a unified view of talent lifecycle activities across HR, learning, and recruitment functions.
Operational ownership centered on HR and talent management teams who used Workday HCM together with Cornerstone and PeopleFluent to rationalize learning and hiring processes and to surface analytics for workforce planning. Workday HCM, Cornerstone, and PeopleFluent formed a coordinated Core HR and talent technology stack supporting HR, learning, and recruitment business functions.

In 2010 Travelex deployed Oracle OBIEE for its Global Business Payments fintech division to centralize Analytics and BI capabilities supporting B2B FX and cross border payments. The implementation targeted budget planning, analytics and MI reporting, market research and competitive analysis, and corporate strategy functions across the division.
Oracle OBIEE was configured to deliver role based dashboards and operational scorecards alongside ad hoc analysis and SQL datamining workflows. Functional modules emphasized budget planning models and management information reporting, with a published report catalog and semantic subject areas to support corporate strategy and market research use cases.
The deployment established a centralized BI semantic layer fed by SQL datamining extracts and consolidated data feeds, enabling governed reporting for finance, strategy, and market teams. Architecture focused on an OBIEE presentation and analytics tier delivering governed subject areas to departmental consumers, with ETL and data modeling processes to standardize metrics and dimensions.
Governance covered report lifecycle, access controls, data quality checks, and a release cadence for content updates to align analytics with budgeting and strategic planning cycles. Rollout emphasized structured training for MI reporting owners and formal change control for dashboard and semantic model updates.
