The London-based professional services firm implemented Zoho Billing to manage its free entry plan and tiered monthly and annual subscriptions, favoring a hosted recurring-billing application over an in-house build to avoid a lengthy development effort and PCI-compliance overhead. The implementation emphasized API- and webhook-driven automation: UENI integrated its customer-facing portal with Zoho Billing so that successful payments automatically create customer profiles and subscriptions, and changes made in UENI’s interface (upgrades, downgrades, cancellations) flow bi-directionally to Zoho Billing. UENI also integrated Zoho Billing with major payment gateways, enabled dunning management with both email and SMS notifications, and configured automatic exchange-rate handling and per-customer language customization to support operations across 10+ countries spanning the US, UK, India, Latin America and Southeast Asia. Operationally the deployment was lightweight and rapid—UENI reported being fully integrated within days—and focused on automating recurring billing workflows to reduce manual work. The deployment specifically levered Zoho Billing’s APIs, webhooks, payment-gateway connectivity and dunning capabilities to address renewal failures and scale multi-currency, multi-region subscription management as the company expands.
