In 2022, Unger Fabrikker implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its core ERP Financial system to unify finance, production and logistics in its Fredrikstad manufacturing operation. The decision followed a review of market options and the need to replace an outdated, no longer maintained ERP environment, with Business Central chosen because its standard functionality aligns with Unger's requirements for accounting, VAT compliance and export reporting.
The implementation delivered modules and configuration focused on core financials, accounts payable automation and warehouse transaction capture. Unger digitized and automated invoice handling and enabled handheld terminal capture of delivery events, which feed automatically into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support traceability from production to customer and to reduce manual entry points in quality control workflows.
Integration work tied Business Central into Unger’s Microsoft ecosystem, leveraging Office 365, SharePoint and Azure for extensibility and for sourcing additional functionality without bespoke development. Dynapro integrated business-critical production systems with Business Central, ensuring logistics and flow of goods data are handled in the ERP and that SAF-T and other regulatory reporting needs are met through the platform’s standard capabilities.
Dynapro served as the implementation partner, providing end-to-end services from installation to training, customization and ongoing support. Governance changes emphasized continuous platform updates and standardized processes across finance, operations and distribution, giving Unger predictable operating costs and improved data quality. The rollout expanded flexible work support for approximately 120 employees and established end-to-end traceability for Unger’s 40,000 annual pallet shipments.
