| Keylane | Legacy | Keylane Axon Pricing Engine | Insurance Pricing and Rating Engine | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Unigarant implemented Keylane Axon Pricing Engine as its core Insurance Pricing and Rating Engine to centralize pricing and product configuration across broker and internal channels. The Keylane Axon Pricing Engine deployment was part of a broader Axon adoption that addressed Unigarant’s prior fragmentation across separate front office, broker portals, and policy and claims administration solutions, and it aimed to enable faster product changes and improved end user experiences.
The implementation focused on pricing and rating capabilities typical of an Insurance Pricing and Rating Engine, including rule driven rate logic, configurable product templates, real time rating at point of sale, and product lifecycle configuration to shorten time to market. Keylane Axon Pricing Engine was configured to support self service product updates by business users and to expose pricing logic to both internal employees and broker channels, reducing the need for ongoing vendor intervention for routine product changes.
Operational integration was executed against Keylane’s Axon platform components, unifying front office, mid office and back office capabilities within the same platform footprint. The program leveraged Keylane’s private cloud and the Axon platform architecture, and Unigarant’s migration to Axon was completed rapidly, with a cutover performed in a short window. Post go live, Keylane delivered monthly core updates and automated tests to make upgrades routine and low risk for Unigarant.
Governance centered on product configuration ownership by Unigarant business teams, supported by Axon configuration management and the supplier driven release cadence. The implementation impacted product development, underwriting, policy administration and broker distribution workflows, and sits within the broader Axon estate used by over 10,000 end users at Unigarant. Keylane Axon Pricing Engine, as implemented at Unigarant, emphasized configurable pricing logic, continuous platform updates, and operational control for business users.
