In 2008, United Response implemented IRIS Financials, deploying an ERP Financial application to centralize finance operations across England and Wales. In 2016 United Response implemented IRIS Blue Octo Recruitment Technology as its Applicant Tracking System and managed the integration of three systems to smooth onboarding for new starters. The deployment focused on consolidating recruitment intake, candidate tracking, and pre-employment screening into a single recruitment-to-hire workflow under IRIS Blue Octo Recruitment Technology.
The implementation configured core Applicant Tracking System capabilities including vacancy management, candidate lifecycle tracking, offer and acceptance workflows, and automated onboarding handoffs. Configuration emphasized data normalization for candidate records and orchestration of DBS check requests so that identity and screening status were visible alongside recruitment milestones.
Technically the program linked IRIS Blue Octo Recruitment Technology to the Mencap DBS system and to iTrent HR and payroll, creating an integrated data flow that handed vetted new starter records into HR and payroll provisioning. Integration work included mapping candidate fields to iTrent employee records, coordinating DBS status updates from Mencap, and establishing automated transfer points between recruitment and HR systems to reduce manual rekeying.
Operationally the implementation affected HR and recruitment teams across United Response in the United Kingdom and tightened governance around offer acceptance, DBS compliance, and payroll onboarding. Process changes centralized requisition approval and introduced checkpoint validation for DBS clearances before employee creation in iTrent, aligning recruitment workflows with HR and payroll control points.
