About the Customer
United States Olympic Committee: Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo., the United States Olympic Committee serves as both the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee for the United States. As such, the USOC is responsible for the training, entering and funding of U.S. teams for the Olympic, Paralympic, Youth Olympic, Pan American and Parapan American Games, while serving as a steward of the Olympic Movement throughout the country.
Scope and Challenges
United States Olympic Committee utilizing UltiPro to help increase employee engagement and organizational support.
The USOC supports Team USA athletes in achieving sustained competitive excellence while demonstrating the values of the Olympic and Paralympic movements. The organization sought a new HCM solution that would boost the reliability of its payroll process and offer more meaningful performance management for its employees. The USOC selected UltiPro and went live in January 2016.
Outcome and Implications
The Company reports that the HR department is measuring higher engagement scores across the organization and that HR is receiving extremely positive feedback from employees about UltiPro. One proof point is the way employees are increasingly using UltiPro to enter their strengths and skills into the solution.
UltiPro’s people-centric design helps increase engagement on a variety of levels. Employees feel more in control when they can access and manage their own information, more trust, and confidence in an organization with a reliable system, and more satisfaction in being able to focus on their job rather than completing administrative tasks. It is an honor to partner with the USOC to help foster a more meaningful and productive employee experience.
“With UltiPro, we are providing a user experience that is comparable to the consumer product software our people engage with on a daily basis. If our employees encountered a technology environment that wasn’t familiar—or unlike what they’re used to seeing on their consumer products—they would not take full advantage of UltiPro’s capabilities,” said James Sayno USOC HR director of talent and rewards .
