SmartSimple Solutions Legacy SmartSimple Cloud CRM CRM n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Universities Canada implemented SmartSimple Cloud as a CRM to centralize scholarship and bursary application, review, and payment workflows across Canada. The deployment established SmartSimple Cloud as the organization wide scholarship management platform, consolidating application intake, reviewer workflow orchestration, and payment processing. Architecturally the solution was provisioned as a cloud SaaS application with centralized data and process orchestration, enabling real time process management for program teams. Functional modules implemented focused on the scholarship management CRM area, including application submission portals, reviewer assignment and scoring workflows, adjudication routing, payment batching, document handling, and automated candidate communications. These modules reduced reliance on paper and manual tracking while creating consistent, auditable application records. The SmartSimple Cloud instance was integrated with Universities Canada financial software to automate payment handoffs and reconciliation, preserving financial controls while maintaining a single source of truth for awards data. Operational coverage spanned national scholarship and bursary programs, supporting reviewers and program administrators across Canada and shifting operational work from paper shipping and spreadsheet tracking into centralized digital workflows. Governance changes included standardizing intake forms and reviewer procedures to support consistent adjudication and program scale. Outcomes explicitly reported from the implementation included real time process management, reduced paper shipping and manual tracking, increased reviewer efficiency, and increased program volume. The SmartSimple Cloud CRM implementation therefore centralized scholarship operations into a process driven application platform that links application intake, review workflows, and financial payment processes.
