Frappe Legacy Frappe HR Expense Management Expense Management ERP Financial Management n/a 2019 2019
In 2019 University Of Benin Nigeria implemented Frappe HR Expense Management as part of an ERPNext deployment to manage HRMS, accounting and stock, completing the project in a 90-day timeline with onsite consultancy. The deployment positioned Frappe HR Expense Management as the Expense Management layer supporting HR and finance processes across departments in Nigeria. The implementation configured core Expense Claims and Employee Advances capabilities within ERPNext, including claim submission workflows, advance issuance and reconciliation, approval routing and expense category controls. Configuration emphasized integration of expense workflows with HRMS employee records and accounting postings to ensure expense capture aligned to department and cost center structures. Operational coverage extended across departmental finance and HR functions, with the Expense Claims and Employee Advances modules used to track employee reimbursements and advances across sites in Nigeria. Integrations were implemented internally within the ERPNext platform between expense management, HRMS and accounting modules to maintain ledger-level expense visibility and employee-level advance tracking. Governance and process changes centralized reimbursement tracking and advanced the control framework for advances, standardizing approvals and documentation needed for finance audits. Reported outcomes included improving budgeting and expense reporting for HR and finance, with Frappe HR Expense Management serving as the primary Expense Management solution for the university environment.
