In 2021 US Army Recruiting Command engaged Lumen Technologies to provision CenturyLink VoIP under the PBX, VoiP and Phone Systems category, winning a task order to deliver high speed internet and hosted voice services to Army recruiting sites across the United States and U.S. territories. The engagement was scoped to modernize recruiting communications and to support recruiting operations regionally by improving site connectivity and caller experience for recruiters and prospects.
Deployment combined Lumen delivered high speed internet access with hosted CenturyLink VoIP voice services, employing a centralized cloud hosted PBX model consistent with PBX, VoiP and Phone Systems implementations. Functional capabilities implemented included hosted call control and routing, inbound and outbound voice services, voicemail and caller identity management, and site level voice provisioning to enable recruiter telephony and prospect engagement workflows.
Operational coverage extended to recruiting sites and regional recruiting operations across the United States and U.S. territories, with services provisioned under a task order model that supported multi site rollout and staged provisioning. The CenturyLink VoIP implementation was integrated with site network access and internet circuits to deliver end to end voice service over Lumen provided connectivity, aligning voice routing and bandwidth allocation with site level network configurations.
Governance followed the task order delivery approach for federal engagements, with centralized service provisioning by Lumen and local site activation to bring recruiters onto the hosted voice platform. The implementation aimed to improve site connectivity and caller experience for recruiters and prospects without making claims about realized operational metrics.
