Conga Legacy Conga Contracts for Salesforce Contract Lifecycle Management Content Management n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development implemented Conga Contracts for Salesforce for Contract Lifecycle Management. The project began with a deliberate reappraisal of existing workflows, the team choosing to reinvent approval and award-to-contract processes rather than simply digitize them, and leveraging Conga automation to reshape operations. Conga Contracts for Salesforce was configured to automate contract generation and document assembly, and Conga Sign was implemented to close the signature loop. The implementation emphasized automated data mapping from Salesforce into contract templates, orchestration of negotiation workflows, and embedding e-signature as a standard step in the contract lifecycle. Integration points center on Salesforce as the authoritative source of award and applicant data, with a one step handoff from award review in Salesforce into Contracts for Salesforce to initiate negotiations. The deployment impacted award management, contracting and legal workflow within the office, replacing manual exports and copy paste handoffs with system-driven document creation and routing. Governance shifted toward template driven contracting and automated handoffs, requiring the team to redesign approval sequences and negotiation staging to align with the new Contract Lifecycle Management processes. As a result of the implementation and the addition of Conga Sign, time from contract generation to signature decreased drastically.
