Technical architecture combined the Access Attache Accounts database, a consultant-built extraction and import application, and the iPad front end used by field reps, creating an operational flow from mobile capture to server-side order processing. Operational coverage included field sales, warehouse picking, administration and management dashboards, with daily sales and debtor analysis instrumented in graphical reports. The Access Attache Accounts ERP Financial environment enabled management of more than 10,000 stock items and shifted order transmission from intermittent batch uploads to near real time. Governance and process changes included a two year program with Attaché to move toward a paperless office, redesigned back-end processes to support automated imports, and tighter checks and balances to reduce data input errors. Reported outcomes included saving at least three hours per day in order processing, the ability to apply monthly price increases rather than annual only, and the commercialization of the iPad app for sale to other companies. Company leadership credited Access Attache Accounts with enabling stronger sales analysis and operational control that informed assortment and supplier decisions.
