In 2020 Vanderlande Australia implemented IBM Maximo as a global Enterprise Asset Management platform to standardize maintenance management and to integrate asset workflows with broader service operations. MaxGrip led the global Maintenance Management roll-out program for IBM Maximo, coordinating the program across regional offices and service delivery teams.
The IBM Maximo deployment included configured functional capabilities such as mobile use for field technicians, global inspection sheets, and a problem, cause, remedy tree to standardize fault diagnosis and resolution. Maintenance management dashboards were implemented in IBM Maximo to surface measurable results and to provide a unified view of work orders, inspections, and asset health across sites.
Architecturally the program established a centralized IBM Maximo instance with standardized configurations and regional implementations, combined with mobile clients for onsite execution and inspection capture. The rollout emphasized integration with all other service operations to align work planning, spare parts handling, and service delivery governance without naming additional systems.
Governance and rollout followed a standardized four step approach per region, consisting of onboarding, preparation, implementation, and go-live and hyper care, with the program team coaching onsite and remotely while local teams remained highly involved. Knowledge management, internal benchmarking, and sharing of lessons learned were embedded into the program, and outcomes tracked in the maintenance management dashboards showed a return on investment per regional office within one year, along with reported higher job satisfaction and improved quality of service.
