Infor Legacy Infor SunSystems ERP Financial ERP n/a 2012 2013
In 2012, Vantage Insurance Services implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial application. The deployment centralized the companys core finance activities for the UK insurance broker, bringing journal posting, ledger maintenance, reconciliation, client money calculations, and regulatory filing into a single record of truth for finance and compliance teams. Infor SunSystems was configured to handle entry of office insurance debit notes and credit notes, routine journal postings for payments to insurers, and ad hoc journals such as write offs, IBA bank receipts and payments. The implementation included management of a set of ledger accounts, client money calculations within SunSystems and SSP, and the posting and credit control workflows for London Market policies, aligning the application to standard general ledger, receivables, and payment processing functional modules expected from an ERP Financial system. Transaction flows were executed between Infor SunSystems and SSP (Sirius 21), with journal postings replicated across SunSystems and SSP as required, monthly payment and reconciliation of office underwriter statements in SunSystems, and monthly reconciliation and payment of third party commissions in Sirius. The operational coverage explicitly included monthly reconciliation of IBA bank accounts across Sirius and SunSystems, monthly payments to commercial sub agents in SSP, and monthly payments to imaging insurance underwriters recorded in SunSystems, reflecting cross system financial settlement routines. Governance and operational procedures were adapted to support the new application, with liaison processes established with clients to agree schedules of payment, ongoing coordination with account handlers to resolve debit note queries, and quarterly online FSA return submission coordinated with the Compliance Director. Credit control, client money calculation controls, and monthly reconciliation cadences were formalized to align day to day accounting operations with regulatory reporting responsibilities.
