In 2015 Vista Super Markets deployed Lathem PayClock Online, implementing a Time Clock (Hardware) solution to standardize hourly capture across its grocery stores. The Texas based supermarket chain used Lathem PayClock Online together with FaceIN biometric terminals to manage time and attendance for roughly 700 employees across seven stores in the El Paso area, Texas.
Lathem PayClock Online was provisioned to collect biometric time stamps and maintain centralized timekeeping records, enabling HR to reconcile hours and monitor compliance. The deployment leveraged FaceIN biometric terminals at store entrances for secure employee identification and automated time capture.
The system supported HR and payroll operations, providing data used in payroll processing workflows and enabling ACA monitoring for compliance. Operational scope included store level time capture and centralized HR oversight, with configuration focused on consistent clocking rules and attendance workflows across locations.
Governance emphasized standardized time capture policies and centralized timecard review during rollout across seven stores in the El Paso area. The implementation supported ACA monitoring for compliance and cut payroll processing time by more than half in the region.
