Oracle Legacy Oracle Textura Payment Processing ERP n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company implemented Oracle Textura for Payment Processing. The deployment focused on project accounting and contract administration workflows, bringing project teams, the Controller, and the Compliance Manager onto a unified pay application platform. Oracle Textura was configured to manage subcontractor monthly pay applications and project-level approval workflows, and to capture sworn statements and lien releases as part of the payment packet. The implementation supported creation, submission, and tracking of subcontracts, change orders, supply agreements, purchase orders, and purchase order change orders, aligning Pay Application processing with existing contract administration and accounting tasks. The Oracle Textura environment was integrated with Viewpoint for monitoring subcontractor insurance, bonds, and start and end dates, and for coordinating new vendor setup forms that remain recorded in Viewpoint and the project filing system. Operational coverage included project managers, contract administrators, accounting staff, and compliance teams who maintain subcontractor and vendor files and assemble electronic project archives at closeout. Governance and workflow changes routed pay applications through Oracle Textura for approval by the project team, required uploads of sworn statements and required releases into Textura prior to approval, and embedded payment compliance into established meetings such as two day Preconstruction, Out of the Gate, and Close the Gate sessions to maintain control over documentation and project closeout processes.

Sterling Talent Solutions Legacy Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company implemented Sterling Background Check from Sterling Talent Solutions to centralize pre employment screening across large site projects. The Sterling Background Check deployment served BackGround Screening needs for hiring and compliance activities at the Mercedes Benz International Warehouse and the Mercedes Benz International Battery Plant in Woodstock, AL. Sterling Background Check was used to execute background checks and drug screenings as part of standard onboarding workflows. Functional usage focused on candidate background investigations and drug screening orchestration, with the application used to record application, hire and termination logs and to support EEO reporting requirements. The implementation supported HR operational tasks including processing new hires and coordinating screening requests, reflecting BackGround Screening capabilities such as consent capture, result management, and chain of custody workflow handling. Operational coverage was concentrated with on site HR and payroll staff embedded in project teams, where the project coordinator acted as the on site human resources representative to trigger and track screenings. The Sterling Background Check workflow was executed in coordination with compliance managers, project managers and accounting for verification and recordkeeping, and training and coordination were conducted using Webex conference and training calls. Governance included maintaining screening logs, documenting screening start and end dates, and incorporating screening steps into meeting agendas, safety reporting and hiring checklists to align HR, safety and project management processes. The Sterling Background Check application was instrumented as a compliance and hiring control within W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company across HR, safety and project delivery functions.

Viewpoint Construction Legacy Viewpoint Vista Construction ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company implemented Viewpoint Vista as its Construction ERP platform. The deployment covered Yates’s thirty company locations and supported core business functions including project accounting, document control, project management, and field operations across commercial, government, educational, healthcare, retail, distribution, entertainment, industrial process, manufacturing, transportation, power, and multi unit residential work. Yates had used Viewpoint Construction Software for 30 years, and the implementation was driven by a preference to have both enterprise resource capabilities and project collaboration supplied by the same vendor. Viewpoint Vista was provisioned alongside Viewpoint for Projects to provide web based, cloud hosted access without requiring internal servers or local data resources, enabling mobile device connectivity for field teams. Implemented functional capabilities emphasized collaborative document and model review workflows to support and expedite BIM workflows, centralized distribution and version control of project documents, project financials and change management workflows, and owner access controls to permit real time visibility into project status. Operational coverage explicitly included general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers being invited into the collaboration environment, which restructured document review and approval workflows to improve cross stakeholder understanding and reduce later disputes. At project close the environment produced concise electronic sets of documents and data beyond traditional as builts, providing more complete archival deliverables for project teams and owners.
