Infor SunSystems was used with Infor FMS Sun Systems v4 for journal posting and system administration, SUN Executive to create management accounts packs, and Advance Enquiry for management accounts reporting and schedules. The finance team produced Income and Expenditure and balance sheet reporting per business stream, and generated monthly accruals from MCM systems provided by Mears for subcontractor and material costings, with Crystal reports used to reconcile the weekly payment run to SunSystems.
The deployment included point integrations and data interfaces, notably an Academy to Sun Systems rent DR/CR interface with ongoing reconciliation and correction of unreconciled items. Day to day operations referenced IPOS, CSB, Academy, Swordfish and JET software, and the finance team liaised with IPOS and SUN consultants to rectify system issues and maintain transactional integrity.
Operational governance covered a scheduled weekly payment run with a rota submitted for SMT approval, bank reconciliations ensuring cash journals posted in the correct financial period, and responsibility for finance reporting to repairs leadership through Repairs Improvement meetings. Cost centre schedules and month end processes were formalized for management account meetings, embedding process ownership alongside system administration within Infor SunSystems for ERP Financial finance operations.
