OneAdvanced Legacy Advanced eFinancials Government ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2009 2009
In 2009 Wandsworth Borough Council implemented Advanced eFinancials, deploying a Government ERP solution to centralize core finance and procurement workflows. The implementation was led by an implementation consultant and an ERP Business Analyst who were responsible for configuring P2P, GL and O2C modules, and for delivering document management and OCR capabilities, punchouts and an eMarketplace integration, with subsequent upgrades managed post go live. The Advanced eFinancials deployment covered standard Government ERP functional modules, including procure to pay processing, general ledger configuration for fund and cost centre accounting, and order to cash workflows for council receivables. Document management and OCR were implemented to automate invoice capture and to link scanned documents to financial transactions, while punchouts and the eMarketplace provided catalog-driven requisitioning and supplier catalog connectivity consistent with public sector procurement practices. Architecture and integrations focused on linking the core Advanced eFinancials ledger and transaction engines to the document management and OCR layer, and to procurement-facing punchout and marketplace connectivity. Operational coverage targeted finance and procurement functions across the council, ensuring transactional flows from requisition through invoice settlement were processed within the Government ERP environment. Governance was established with the ERP Business Analyst and implementation consultant coordinating configuration control, testing and staged upgrades, and with finance and procurement accountability for workflow ownership. Subsequent upgrades were applied to Advanced eFinancials to maintain procurement connectivity and document processing capabilities.
