In 2011, Washington Parish School Board implemented i3–Software & Services GFA as its district financial system. The Government ERP deployment centralized financial accounting and core administrative workflows across the school district, aligning the i3–Software & Services GFA application with finance and payroll business functions.
The implementation configured core GFA™ modules including Payroll, Accounts Payable and AP Check processing, Purchase Order processing, fund-level budgeting with the ability to create and compare multiple budget versions per Fund, and leave management to capture employee dockage. The system was set up to support concurrent user access across modules and to export transaction and reporting data into Excel, including generation of pre-filled Excel forms for required reporting.
Deployment included an upgrade to server hardware and scheduling of backup processes to provide a stable hosting platform for the Government ERP, reducing application availability risk and simplifying routine backups. Operational coverage extended across district finance staff and school location administrative users, enabling distributed data entry and reporting rather than serialized access to processing modules.
Workflow configuration reduced rigid step sequencing by introducing more flexible processing paths within the GFA™ application, which streamlined Purchase Order and Payroll workflows and accelerated leave input so employee dockage was reported immediately.
