In 2016, Wayne Farms implemented Workday Benefits to serve as its centralized Benefits Administration platform for managing eligibility, enrollment, deductions and dependent verification across the enterprise. The Workday Benefits deployment supports operational needs for benefits enrollment and reconciliation for approximately 9,000 employees in the United States, and anchors benefits-related casework for HR, Corporate Benefits and Safety and EHS teams.
Workday Benefits was configured to emphasize eligibility management, enrollment processing, dependent verification workflows and deduction mapping, with formal processes to update, research and resolve enrollment, marital status and dependent discrepancies. The configuration included transactional workflows to facilitate leave approval, benefit enrollment and dependent verification, and case handling procedures to document and track carrier interactions and employee-submitted documentation.
The implementation interfaces with external payroll vendors and benefits carriers to ensure vendors and payroll receive accurate eligibility, enrollment and deduction information, and it operationalizes a data entry and documentation capture workflow for Workers Compensation claims in partnership with Safety and EHS. Workday Benefits functions as the system of record for benefit eligibility data and acts as the primary source for outbound eligibility and deduction feeds to carriers and payroll.
Governance and operating model changes were embedded into HR and Corporate Benefits processes, with the Wayne Farms benefits team partnering with Corporate Benefits on all open enrollment events, new or revised programs and special events. The benefits team acts as a liaison between carrier and employee when needed, and leads coordination meetings and follow-up to ensure employees are informed about changes to benefit plans and unresolved issues are escalated to Corporate Benefits.

| Hexagon | Legacy | HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013 Wayne Farms deployed HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to formalize maintenance and asset tracking across its food production operations. The HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) implementation was positioned to centralize asset records and standardize maintenance workflows for plant and maintenance teams while aligning with regulatory and FDA labeling knowledge held by the business.
The deployment configured core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities, including an asset registry, work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, spare parts inventory control, and operational reporting. Configuration and ongoing system improvement work referenced SQL-based administration and report development, consistent with existing in-house skills in SQL and Business Objects reporting.
Integrations were implemented using SQL and platform-specific interfaces into the broader application landscape noted by the organization, including Infor Adage ERP, Infor Optiva PLM, Infor Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Coolearth and Whistle warehouse management systems, CFS weighing and labeling systems on a Progress database, and Business Objects for reporting. The integration approach emphasized database-level interfaces and alignment with SharePoint and MS Project for project coordination and documentation.
Governance and rollout were managed with a steering committee guiding priorities, and a senior business analyst and project lead acting as the primary liaison between business units and IT. Responsibilities included translating business needs into functional and technical requirements, generating project plans, managing resources and budgets, training business users on upgrades and enhancements, and maintaining disaster recovery procedures aligned with IT infrastructure.
Ongoing operational support focused on application expertise for business units, ad-hoc executive reporting requests, and continuous process improvement tied to system upgrades and enhancements. The implementation narrative underscores system-level configuration, database-centric integrations, and governance practices driving Enterprise Asset Management at Wayne Farms.
