In 2020 Weltpresse Germany implemented drs//STORE as a Retail Management solution to standardize store operations across its newsstand and convenience outlets in Germany. The deployment established a modern filial merchandise-management and ERP landscape to consolidate store processes and centralize operational control.
The solution combined the LS Central retail engine with DRS Deutsche Retail Services modules, and the drs//STORE application was configured to deliver filialwarenwirtschaft, POS integration and cloud hosting. Additional modules for personnel planning, OCR-based document handling and omnichannel connectivity were embedded to extend point of sale and back office capabilities and to support scheduling and document workflow automation.
Integrations focused on direct POS connectivity to unify sales and inventory streams and cloud hosting to centralize transactional and inventory data for multi-outlet reporting. Operational coverage included store operations, merchandising and inventory control, sales reporting, personnel scheduling and document capture across Weltpresse outlets in Germany.
Governance and process changes standardized store-level workflows, tightened merchandise management procedures and introduced automated document handling and omnichannel order visibility. The implementation delivered greater process automation and improved transparency of sales and inventory data, while adding personnel planning and OCR document handling as operational capabilities.
