Computer Solutions Legacy SMARTS Budgetary Accounting Education ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2010 2011
In 2010, West Milford Special Education implemented SMARTS Budgetary Accounting. The SMARTS Budgetary Accounting application functions as the district’s Education ERP for centralized budgetary management and school finance operations. The implementation focused on core budgetary and financial modules, together with personnel and payroll support processes. Configuration work included encumbrance accounting, chart of accounts management, position-based personnel budgeting and payroll-related interfaces, aligning the application to district financial control and administrative workflows. Operational coverage encompassed district finance, human resources and payroll functions for West Milford Township Public Schools, supporting approximately 650 employees across the district. The deployment was organized at the district administrative level to provide unified budgetary control and reporting across schools and departments. Governance and vendor support were formalized through district procurement. In 2018 the superintendent recommended approval of an agreement with COMPUTER SOLUTIONS, INC., Branchburg, New Jersey, for Budgetary, Personnel, and Payroll Software Support Services in the amount of $13,020.00 for the 2018-2019 school year, establishing an ongoing support relationship for SMARTS Budgetary Accounting.
