In 2018, Western Guaranty Fund Services implemented Digitech PaperVision Enterprise WorkFlow as part of an Intelligent Document Processing deployment. The deployment combined PaperVision Capture, PaperVision Enterprise, and PaperVision Enterprise WorkFlow to automate claims intake, indexing, and routing for insurance guaranty associations in the United States. Rocky Mountain Microfilm served as the reseller and managed the implementation.
Configuration focused on document capture, optical character recognition, automated data extraction, rule based routing, and workflow orchestration to accelerate claims handling. PaperVision Enterprise WorkFlow was used to define business rules for task assignment, approvals, and exception handling, while PaperVision Capture handled scanning and batch indexing. The implementation centralized claims content and reduced manual processing steps across claims operations.
The Intelligent Document Processing deployment reduced the need to add seasonal staff during volume spikes and improved operational scalability and efficiency, outcomes documented in the Digitech case study. Governance changes included formalized workflow rules and a centralized document repository to support consistent processing across the organization.
