After a high level design phase the implementation work started in October 2015 and achieved go live 21 weeks later within the agreed budget, with Hitachi drawing on Oracle engagement and delivery practices. Wiggle invested in a structured change management program, delivering regular communications and targeted staff training to drive adoption and process governance across finance and procurement functions.
Post go live the rollout produced stated improvements in process standardization and control, including greater visibility and control of supplier balances, invoices and payments, tracking of fixed assets and improved management of cash positions and forecasts, together with a simplified indirect procurement process that allowed finance and procurement teams to focus on more strategic activities.

Business functions impacted included supply chain and warehouse operations, merchandising, pricing, replenishment planning and finance, consolidating transactional flows into a single retail management fabric.
Governance emphasized a phased migration and cutover tied to stock movement, centralized control of assortment and pricing policies, and cross functional coordination between CRC and Wiggle teams to align processes on the new platform. The stated objective of the project was to realize cost reduction synergies through warehouse consolidation and a unified Oracle Retail Retail Management platform.
