In 2015, Willis Re deployed Insurity SpatialKey to deliver flood accumulation and modeling tools aimed at identifying Canadian flood exposures. The deployment is recorded under Analytics and BI and was scoped to support underwriting and portfolio exposure management functions.
Willis Re partnered with SpatialKey to configure Insurity SpatialKey with spatial analytics, interactive mapping, accumulation engines and probabilistic loss estimation capabilities. The implementation incorporated KatRisk flood data as an authoritative hazard feed and used SpatialKey visualization and accumulation logic to enable probable maximum loss analysis and portfolio-level exposure aggregation.
The 2015 rollout targeted underwriting and portfolio exposure management teams in Canada, enabling clients to visualize and accumulate risk data to support reinsurance placement and underwriting decisions. Governance emphasis focused on embedding accumulation monitoring into underwriting workflows and establishing map-driven exposure review and aggregation processes.
