In 2010, Windstream built and tested the Broadsoft UC-One add-in for the Skype for Business client. This work integrated Broadsoft UC-One into Windstream’s Audio Video and Web Conferencing footprint to extend unified communications capabilities into the company desktop collaboration environment.
The implementation centered on a client-side add-in architecture, delivering presence synchronization, call control and one-click meeting join capabilities aligned with Audio Video and Web Conferencing functional workflows. Configuration and testing covered the plugin installation model, authentication handoff to the UC-One service, and UI integration points inside the Skype for Business client.
Integration scope was explicitly the Skype for Business desktop client and was executed as an internal IT trial to validate interoperability. Governance followed an IT-led pilot approach, with iterative build and test cycles and feedback-driven refinements prior to any broader deployment.

In 2015, Windstream implemented ProShip Shipping in its Vancouver, WA warehouse to standardize outbound and returns processing. ProShip Shipping was deployed as the primary Shipping Management application supporting receiving, fulfillment, and RMA workflows for telecom parts inventory at that site.
The implementation focused on shipping and returns capabilities typical of a Shipping Management solution, including shipment creation, carrier label generation, tracking visibility, and RMA processing. ProShip Shipping was configured to support warehouse packing and shipping workflows used by the inventory and parts team, and operational procedures were established for daily receiving and dispatch activities.
Integrations were explicitly operational, ProShip Shipping interfaced with FedEx Ship Manager for carrier handling and with Oracle for inventory and transaction records, enabling end to end receive and ship transactions. Operational coverage centered on the Vancouver warehouse, with business functions impacted including inventory control, purchasing, returns processing, and customer support fulfillment.
Governance and process ownership rested with the Inventory and Parts Specialist who independently developed and managed the Vancouver warehouse operations, prepared forecasting reports to drive purchasing, negotiated equipment costs, and maintained inventory levels. The deployment supported accurate RMA handling and control of over $2 million in telecom inventory while establishing repeatable receiving and shipping processes.
