In 2012 Wistia migrated from Intuit QuickBooks Online to Sage Intacct to establish a scalable core for its finance function. Wistia implemented Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial application to centralize the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting workflows for the growing video services business.
The implementation leveraged Sage Intacct's cloud native architecture and typical ERP Financial capabilities, including configurable GL dimensions, automated month end close routines, revenue management workflows, and role based security for financial controls. Configuration emphasized real time ledger visibility and configurable reporting to support frequent forecasting and management reporting demands.
Rollout concentrated on the finance and accounting organization, with a centralized chart of accounts and updated approval and close procedures to standardize processes across the company. The project replaced Intuit QuickBooks Online and produced the stated outcomes of improved finance efficiency and scalable financial operations for Wistia.
