Integrations executed as part of the program included onboarding each new facility into the centralized athenaClinicals instance with IT coordination, and a direct systems integration with Dominion Payroll Systems to transition the staff from paper timecards to electronic payroll processes. Operationalization also encompassed launching mammography and telemedicine service lines, which were routed into the clinic’s clinical workflows and patient access processes managed within athenaClinicals, and coordination with Marketing to engage local patient populations during site openings. Governance and process changes were driven from the Director of Operations role which assumed accountability for daily operations and human resources, and led training and rollout activities. Training programs and new hire onboarding were used to operationalize timekeeping, payroll, inventory billing and EHR usage, and procedural standardization was enforced to ensure consistent documentation and charge capture across all sites. Outcomes explicitly recorded in the program included successful incorporation of four new clinic locations into the athenaClinicals environment, completion of acquisition due diligence related to a $1M clinic acquisition, and the establishment of an added revenue stream through standardized inventory billing. The implementation therefore linked athenaClinicals Electronic Health Record,Medical Practice Management capabilities to broader operational expansion and revenue enablement initiatives.
