In 2006 Wonderware Corporation provisioned Acronis Disk Director preinstalled on Wonderware Industrial Computers to support IT/OT operations. The implementation used the Apps Category "" and targeted rugged HMI, tablet and box PCs deployed in manufacturing environments across North America.
Acronis Disk Director was installed in the factory image to provide rapid partition management, disk layout configuration and system recovery capabilities on field devices, enabling partition adjustments and full volume restoration workflows. Functional coverage centered on partitioning tools, volume management and recovery automation consistent with disk management utilities, and these capabilities were made available to field technicians and support teams.
Operational scope included IT and OT teams on the manufacturing floor in North America, with rollout through preinstalled hardware provisioning and standard help desk procedures for onsite restoration. The deployment reduced downtime risk by making system restoration and partition adjustments simpler for field technicians and support teams.
