In 2021 Woodland Direct implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial solution to centralize finance and tax operations for the 120 employee United States retailer focused on hearth, patio and barbecue products. The implementation was led from Auburn Hills, MI by the Senior Accountant and prioritized accounting, tax compliance, and vendor incentive management workflows.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to support core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax maintenance, vendor incentive tracking for co op and volume rebates, and audit-oriented reconciliation processes. Configuration work included transaction level trails for reconciliation of collection and remittance general ledger accounts and workflows to support tax research and ongoing accounting and auditing responsibilities.
The deployment integrated Oracle NetSuite ERP with Avalara to enable sales tax calculation and certificate capture, and with TaxJar to manage filing and remittance processes and state level sales tax activity.
