In 2011, World Omni Financial signed a seven-year, multi-million dollar managed-service contract with CGI Group to deploy CGI Collections360 as a cloud-based managed collections service, implementing CGI Collections360 in a Debt Collection and Recovery context across its United States operations. The engagement was announced in November 2011 and was scoped to consolidate business applications and unify collections and recovery workflows under a centralized managed delivery model.
The implementation focused on modernizing core collections, recovery accounting and decision management capabilities, configuring CGI Collections360 to support account prioritization, automated collector decisioning and centralized recovery accounting. Functional configuration emphasized collections orchestration, segmentation and standardized aging and workflow logic to replace dispersed manual processes and point solutions.
Operational ownership and hosting resided with CGI under the managed-service contract, creating a governance model that centralized operational control, application maintenance and process standardization across World Omni Financials collections function. The stated objectives were consolidation of business applications, improved collections effectiveness and reduced operating costs in the United States, delivered through the cloud-based Debt Collection and Recovery service model.
