In 2023, WWK Versicherungen implemented Boomi AtomSphere as part of a measured evaluation, and the project concluded that the platform was viable for long term use. WWK deployed Boomi AtomSphere within its API Management,iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) strategy after a deliberate pilot and validation phase, and Henry Siemens Head of IT, WWK Versicherungen stated that Boomi has become a key part of our integration architecture.
The implementation emphasized core iPaaS capabilities, with Boomi AtomSphere providing centralized connectivity, orchestration, and API exposure across the estate. Workstreams focused on reusable integration assets, runtime management, process orchestration, and centralized monitoring and error handling to standardize integration patterns and reduce bespoke point to point integration work.
WWK engaged PPI as the implementation partner to execute a phased rollout, starting with proof of concept and expanding into production runtime. The deployment was positioned to provide consistent integration governance for IT operations and application teams, enabling the company to centralize integration logic, manage API endpoints, and unify data flows between on premise systems and cloud services.
Governance and operational controls were introduced alongside the technical rollout, with change control and integration ownership aligned to IT leadership and platform stewards. The initiative intentionally progressed slowly to validate platform fit, and the stated result was a favorable conclusion and adoption of Boomi AtomSphere as a core integration layer for WWK Versicherungen.
