In 2019, Wyman's implemented Conservis Farm Management as its primary Agriculture ERP to unify farm operations and financial reporting across its multi-site wild blueberry operations in Maine, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. The deployment addressed a fragmented environment of spreadsheets and handwritten notes, providing a single platform to connect field activities to corporate decision making and to support agronomy, operations, accounting, quality assurance, and human resources functions.
Conservis Farm Management was configured to run core functional modules including work orders and activity tickets, inventory management, spray management and compliance records, field planning and budgeting, traceability and audit documentation, and cost of production and equipment tracking. Mobile and tablet access was enabled for field crews to complete in-the-moment tickets and pull up work orders, which tied directly to inventory updates and automated activity records for planning and verification workflows.
The implementation included explicit integrations with Wyman's corporate accounting flows, where Conservis data is exported into the company ERP at the corporate level and then shared with their external accounting firm Wipfli for reporting and audit purposes. Operational coverage spanned agronomy and field operations through harvest, manufacturing and QA teams for food safety audits, and HR for workforce management and labor tracking across both yearround staff and seasonal migrant crews.
Governance and process restructuring accompanied the technical rollout, moving governance from decentralized spreadsheets to Conservis driven plan versus actuals controls, standardized spray record practices for label rate compliance, and ticket based billing workflows. Onboarding began in 2020 and included a rapid pivot to remote training due to COVID, supported by Conservis customer service and engineering to ensure adoption among field workers and managers.
Wyman's reported a set of explicit outcomes from the Conservis Farm Management Agriculture ERP implementation, including easier access to financial reporting for stakeholders, in-the-moment work orders that improved labor management and billing accuracy, reliable real-time spray management and traceability for food safety audits including SQF qualification, clear cost of production visibility used for capital asks, and lower inventory levels driven by integrated inventory and ticket workflows. The platform also contributed to greater employee engagement by putting actionable data in the hands of field crews and managers.
