In 2014, Xplace Israel implemented Binfire as its Project Portfolio Management platform to support a hybrid project management approach for a multi-continent product development effort. The engagement centered on product development and project management activities based in Israel while coordinating distributed engineering and QA teams across regions.
Binfire was configured to leverage task management, WBS and Gantt capabilities to align work breakdown, schedule dependencies and delivery milestones. Configuration emphasized hybrid workflows combining iterative delivery cycles with milestone driven phases, using task boards and Gantt sequencing to manage cross-team dependencies and release windows.
Operational coverage included product development, QA and release coordination across multiple continents, with Binfire acting as the central repository for project artifacts, schedules and issue tracking. The implementation centralized ownership of WBS elements and schedule control to reduce coordination friction between distributed sites.
Governance was tightened through defined WBS ownership, centralized schedule approvals and defect triage workflows managed inside Binfire. Xplace Israel reported outcomes for this implementation including delivering a six month project 25% faster and an 18% reduction in bugs.
